WASTE OF WATER

In the world, there are many problems about the environment, we are going to talk about the waste of water.

The most important causes is that people do not have the enough knowledge about the care of the environment, also we do many different activities like: taking long showers or washing the car with a hose.

Sometimes we have leaks in our house, so if we did not repair them a lot of water is being wasted. Another cause is the agriculture, this one wastes 50% of the water depending on the irrigation techniques. And finally the pipes leaks.

The water of rivers and lakes is cutting down, also unfurtunately a lot of people are dying because they did not drink enough water, also there are economic losses for some agricultors because they do not have means to sow.

In the future, there will be no water and a lot of species will die.

Some wonders for the team would be:

• ·         What percent of potable water exist in the world.
• ·         How many years the human race will live without water.
• ·         In wich year there will be no more water.
• ·         How much water is being spent in a day.
• ·         Why in Mexico there is no control in the water supply.

As we can see the little potable water left in the planet is about to run out, so we have to do some actitos like: repairing the leaks, also we can closet he shower head when we are washing our body.

Another activity is to close the sink while you are washing your teeth or your hands, we should wash the car with a bucket instead of a hose. Finally we can take advantage of the rain to do housework.

Since OCDE (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development); showed alarming figures about the waste of water many different companies started to take actions to solve this problem. Here we have four examples:

~ Hidrotón 2016 initiative which consisted in putting up posters with messages about the care of the water.

~Brush your teeth in less time: in Mexico CONAGUA gave glasses and toothbrushes with the purpose of people to use these things to brush their teeth instead of the water tape.

~The music would lose a lot without water: by the help of some artist the Rolling Stone Magazine wants to raise awareness about the waste of water.

~Cumbia water: In 2009 this campaing made a song with some peruvian artist with the purpose of saving 400 millions of litres of water.

These are some actions that the team makes: we might wear a glass when we are washing our teeth also we should take a shower in five minutes, another action is that we shouldn’t wash the car with a hose and we must put a bucket under the headshower. Also, we mustn’t let open the water tape and we needn’t spill water. Besides these actions we may repair the pipe leaks, we could take advantage of the rain, also we ought to teach to children about the care of the water and finally we ought not to believe that water make last forever.

After this investigation we realized that the world is running out of water, and people have to stop making bad actions, because the only ones affected are us.

So, we are the only ones who can make a change.
